Colin is a professional cost estimator offering 35 years of experience within international and well recognized Owner’s and EPCM corporations. Accountable as Corporate Cost Estimator for projects with (TIC) total installed costs of up to $20 Billion value in various sectors and industries including Petrochemical, Mining, Nuclear and Infrastructure with a specialist team approach. Estimated Feasibility and AFE (authorized for expenditure) management reports successfully completed domestic and international projects located in Madagascar, Liberia, Tanzania, South Africa, Brazil, Guyana, Spain, Germany, Trinidad, Jamaica, Canada and USA.
Well versed in engineering specifications and equipment, materials and labour costs for all disciplines including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, piping, instrumentation and controls.
Colin has specific work experience in the oil and gas, mining and metals, nuclear, power, transportation, military, hospitals and airports internationally. He is also experienced with a variety of estimating systems and has been involved with a number of highly recognized corporations for over three decades.
Colin adds significant value to our firm as a mechanical cost specialist and is utilized in several different capacities on our team. He also specializes in conceptual cost planning, feasibility studies, project control estimates and conducting meetings with key clientele to analyze costs and integrate unique costing solutions utilizing his in depth experience and broad range of management experience.
PROJECT ROLE:
Colin performs one of the critical and primary roles within the Project Team; responsible for the application, management, and delivery controls for the Mechanical & Electrical Divisional Trade building components that are technically integrated into the project modelling and team innovations executed. During every stage of the exercise; as with each of the many steps, processes and efforts undertaken to complete, analyze, model or compare any assessed building option (respective to any program aspect) ,Colin responsibly manages the related mechanical & electrical building system component variables for all models attempted.

Certified Building Energy Modelling Professional Designated - Canadian Institute of Energy Training (CIET); PQS - Professional Quantity Surveyor (CIQS) - Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors; GSC - Gold Seal Certified (CCA – Canadian Construction Association); CCC - Certified Cost Consultant; AACI - Association of Cost Engineering International; - Construction Industry Institute, Texas (Member); AACEI – Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineers International, Toronto (President 2010), ASCE – American Society of Civil Engineers (Member) COAA – Contractors & Owners Association of Alberta (Member); PICC – Progressive Industrial Construction Certifications (Member); CCAB – Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business(Member); Graduate of Engineering Economics - Iowa State University.
