Dave is a fully certified Professional Quantity Surveyor registered with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS). Principal and co-founder of Aquarius Building Consultants, Dave has previously acted in the capacity of President for the CIQS - Prairies and Northwest Territories affiliate region and has also formally sat on the CIQS National Council as Chair of the Board in 2015. Dave has also been granted a Fellowship designation in recognition of his dedication to the profession and for his ongoing work with this professional governing body. Collectively, he has been politically active within his profession for over fifteen years. In addition to these achievements, Dave has been integrally involved in the development and accreditation of a number of post-secondary institutional programs including the Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Construction Project Management offered by SAIT Polytechnic and the four year Construction Management Degree Program offered by Red River College in Winnipeg.
For his recognized service to the profession (world-wide), the CEEC (European Council of Construction Economists) formally inducted Dave onto the CEEC Board as an “Honorary Member"; followed shortly after Dave was presented with the highest honour a Canadian QS could be given, the “Gordon Pattison Award of Merit”; as bestowed upon those by the CIQS to recipients, “…in deep appreciation for their many years of service” at the joint CIQS / PAQS (Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors) congress held June 2017 in Vancouver , B.C.
Educated domestically, Dave also brings over twenty years of construction experience with him working in several regions, performing a variety of management and technical functions for an impressive selection of building related professionals. In his past, Dave has constructed high-rise towers for large contractors, performed surveying services with the Federal Government in Ottawa and worked for a variety of nationally recognized Engineering Testing Laboratories.
Dave's comprehensive substance and depth, compliments the efforts of Aquarius Building Consultants with insight, authority and experience.
PROJECT ROLE :
Dave principally functions and acts as TEAM PROJECT LEAD of our “Federal Building Codes Design & Implementation Development Advancement Program” . Dave coordinates all Team Members during the Project, assigning team member roles and establishing performance objectives as project development undertakings progress.
